PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY

The Prayer Shawl Committee continues to make beautiful shawls.  We also expanded into making hats and gloves to give to homeless shelters.  God has blessed us with the ability to crochet and knit so we found another opportunity to use that gift to share God’s blessings.

If you know anyone who could use a shawl, let the church office or Glendora Van Orden know.  The shawl may be given to anyone who needs comforting or praise.  The recipient also does not have to be a member of our congregation.  We look forward to spreading God’s word to anyone.

The group will meet February 12 at 1 p.m. and March 11 at 1 p.m.  You do not have to attend committee meetings to participate.  Call Glendora at 243-6826.  She will share patterns and some yarns with you.

The committee needs even more projects so now they have decided to make new Chrismons (Christ’s monograms) for our church.  Anyone who can needlepoint is welcome to help.  The group is presently choosing patterns and creating samples.  Contact Glendora for more information.
