THE UNITED STATES AIR FORCE HERITAGE OF AMERICA BAND LANGLEY WINDS will present a concert at First Lutheran Church on Saturday, May 10 at 7 P.M.

For over 10 years the Langley Winds has been inspiring audiences and enhancing Air Force esprit-de-corps with superb artistry in a broad range of musical performances.  The woodwind quintet, comprised of flute, oboe, clarinet, horn, and bassoon, is on tour from Langley Air Force Base, Virginia.

The goal of Langley Winds is to promote America’s national heritage and to inspire audiences of all ages through its tradition of musical excellence.  The ensemble regularly performs classical recitals, college master classes, school assemblies, and official military functions.  Its members have performed with the Virginia, Richmond, Waco, and West Virginia Symphonies as well as the Aspen Music Festival Orchestra and the Central Ohio Symphony Orchestra.

The concert, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by the Fine Arts at First Artist Series with partial underwriting by the Corporal Orlando Newcomer VFW Post 477 of Carlisle.  A reception will follow the performance.  First Lutheran Church is handicapped accessible.
