Fine Arts at First
was founded as an outreach ministry of First Lutheran Church
to invite Carlisle and its surrounding Central Pennsylvania communities to
attend quality concerts and recitals, dramatic performances, and artistic
exhibitions in a religious environment filled with history, unique
architecture, and a magnificent pipe organ.
Our inaugural season was the 1993-1994
Series.
Each Sunday afternoon
performance within the nave of our historic church concludes with a
reception in the Martin Luther Room where you may chat with the performers
and enjoy dessert.
The artist series is
supported solely by freewill offerings and donor contributions from those
interested in supporting the arts. Because
of such faithful and enthusiastic support, we have been able to present our
events to the public free of charge.
The freewill offerings
received at events help to defray costs, but they cannot sustain the total
fine arts program. To operate
successfully, we welcome your support. Please
consider becoming a first-time donor or renewing your commitment to support
Fine Arts at First. With each
season a list of new and renewed donors is compiled.
The names of these individuals are then listed in all of the season's
fine arts programs. Listed below
