Lemonade on the Lawn

April has come and gone, warmer weather will soon arrive, May flowers are blooming and the grass is growing so it must be time for First Lutheran Lemonade on the Lawn! Starting on June 6 and continuing through September 5, we will celebrate birthdays and come together in fellowship each Sunday on the lawn with a cool glass of lemonade. This provides a perfect opportunity to linger outside and catch some sun or find a nice spot in the shade and catch up on the current news with our neighbors and friends.

In order to make this event possible, the Friendship Committee is seeking weekly sponsors to host this event. Sponsors may include individuals, families, combined families or specific groups. The monthly birthday celebration will be combined with this event and is already reflected on the sign-up sheet. The sign-up sheet is in the narthex and early birds get the best selection of available Sundays. Please take a moment to review the schedule and let's make this year's Lemonade on the Lawn as successful as last year's!

LUTHERAN CAMPING CORPORATION
GOLF TOURNAMENT
JULY 12, 2010

The Lutheran Camping Corporation is hosting its 11^th Annual Golf Tournament on Monday, July 12, at Range End Golf Club in Dillsburg, Pa. Proceeds from this tournament benefit the Campership Fund, which assists families with limited financial resources in providing a week of summer camp for their children.

CARD SHOWER

Charley and Joan Gitt are having a “Card Shower” for their son, Nathan’s, birthday on June 30. Nathan is in the Army and is currently stationed in Afghanistan. Birthday cards can be mailed to Nathan at the following address:

BUS TRIP TO RICHMOND, VIRGINIA

St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church has extended an invitation to our congregational members to join them on a bus trip to Richmond, Virginia, Thursday, July 8, and Friday, July 9, to witness the Tiffany Stained Glass Exhibit taking place at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.

The cost of the trip is $233 per person for single occupancy, $163.00 per person for double occupancy, $140.00 per person for triple occupancy, and $128.00 per person for quad. The price includes lodging, tax, continental breakfast, VA State Capitol Tour, Virginia Museum of Fine Arts tour with docent and Tiffany Exhibition, tour of Governor’s Mansion, narrated Richmond Canal Cruise, free time at River District and transportation (tip for driver and baggage handling is not included). An itinerary is available in our church office.
